Pitch Decks
Pitch Decks & Concept Art
Pitch decks are increasingly important industry tools to market writers’ work.
ScriptUp has significant experience in creating punchy, visually engaging pitch materials that consistently win industry plaudits.
While there’s no such thing as a standardized deck format, over time ScriptUp has refined a formula which balances clarity, brevity, and imagery. This forms the basis of our pitch deck creation service:
THE SCRIPTUP PREMIUM PITCH DECK:
Page 1: A clean title page to set the visual tone of the deck.
Page 2: A strapline to bring hook and intrigue to the project, and a logline to neatly summarize your story’s line of action.
Pages 3-9: A punchy, tightly edited synopsis (600-1,000 words) that clearly communicates the writer’s voice.
Pages 10-16: Sharp, distinctive character profiles of up to six leads roles (max. 400 words each).
Pages 17-19: A mission statement for the project, covering tone, genre, target audience, marketability, and comparable projects.
Page 20: A contact page.
When hiring ScriptUp to create a deck on your behalf, we take care of:
Writing original deck text in response to your screenplay. (Alternatively, you can choose to write your own text.)
Sourcing references images from comparable film and TV projects.
Handling the graphic design, typography and layout of the deck.
Creating custom concept art, if wanted, to bring characters, settings and key plot points to life.
We like to work quickly and accurately, so our standard turnaround time for deck services is ten days from the time of ordering. We’ll be sure to let you know if delivery will be significantly earlier or later at the time you make your order.
The price for the service STARTS AT $1,850

CONCEPT ART
We appreciate that some writers prefer not to use AI images in their pitches. That’s broadly where our team falls too.
However, for projects where AI image concepts would truly enhance the understanding and atmosphere of a project — especially for sci-fi and animation — we’re happy to create a suite of images using the latest technologies.
Examples are in the gallery below.
CASE STUDIES:

HOW DO I START THE PROCESS?
FIRST — contact Felix via the link below to discuss the specifics of your project and your aims for the deck. He’ll probably set up a brief intro video call, giving you a chance to scope each other out as trustworthy human beings with equally good taste. He can also send over full sample decks which, for fairly obvious reasons, he’s not free to share via an open internet page.
After that, he’ll quote you a price between $1,850 and $2,450 depending on complexity. Payment will be made in two instalments — half before commencement, half on completion — and is payable with card via a Stripe link.
NEXT — We’ll read and review your screenplay, drafting roughly 2,500 words of concise, clear deck text including a logline, synopsis, character profiles and mission statement. We do this in a viewable and editable shared Google Doc so that you can review, suggest, or make changes along the way. While this is being done, we’ll source relevant comparison images from extensive libraries of film and TV screencaps. If you’ve requested additional concept art, your concept designer will return the first samples within this window for review.
MAX 10 DAYS LATER — We’ll return your finished deck as a high-resolution PDF. At this stage you’ll have a chance to review and request any final amendments. If you’ve ordered custom concept art, your HD image files will also be returned at this point. After that, you’re free to use all materials to showcase your project in its best light; we’ll send you a copy of the master deck file so future updates can be in your hands. Finally it’s the second instalment payment. And if you need to follow up with us for any reason, we’re easily reachable over phone or email.
